Union : UDA - ACTRA

Compagnie: Street Parade

Site web:

As a choreographer demonstrating intimate knowledge of movement, Nico manages to instil multiple influences in his creations. With the help of an ever renewed blend of contemporary and urban vocabulary, street dance, jazz and theatre, he pushes the physical limits of his performers and finds a unique balance between extreme physicality and delicate subtlety.

As a dancer, he was introduced to the general audience as the winner of the first ever season of So You Think You Can Dance Canada. Following his big win, Nico pursued his career and danced for Janet Jackson, Madonna and portrayed the late Rudolf Nureyev in a biopic about the legendary Russian ballet dancer.

Strong from all his past experiences, Nico comfortably straddles the fine line between cerebral and commercial work. His work as a video director and producer has gained him an acute understanding of dance & camera work, as well as the endless possibilities that result from the pairing. As a choreographer, stage director & creative producer, he considers himself lucky to have gained the trust of an important and fast growing network of artists and creators of all realms.
